Mental Health
Grow - Better Together
Grow - Better Together group meets at Greater Eastern Primary Health in Scoresby, supporting carers of people with mental health conditions.
The common bond of the Grow -Better Together group is that participants are all looking for support to ease the personal burden of their caring for someone they love who has a mental health condition.
The new “GROW – Better Together” caregiver support group meets at Greater Eastern Primary Health on the first and third Thursday of each month at 10:00am at 1350 Ferntree Gully Rd, Scoresby.
A Story of Hope written by an experienced “GROW – Better Together” member was read out as an illustration of how that carer has assimilated the practical wisdom offered by the GROW Program into her life to make the positive changes she can make for herself.
GROW works on the understanding that the only person you can change is yourself.
Information about local support services and events is also available to the participants.
A comment made by a number of those present was that they:
“Wished we had known sooner about the support provided by a “GROW – Better Together” group”.
The Scoresby “GROW – Better Together” caregiver support group will continue to meet on the first and third Thursday of each month at 10:00am at Greater Eastern Primary Health, 1350 Ferntree Gully Rd, Scoresby.
